“The Cleveland Strangler” Anthony Sowell was responsible for the death of at least eleven women between 2007 and 2009. This sadistic serial killer and rapist lured vulnerable women to his house of horrors with promises of drugs and alcohol. Law enforcement found the remains of his victims in various parts of his residence, including shallow graves in the backyard.
As noted by the author, Sowell previously served fifteen years in prison for a rape, but was released as an unlikely re-offender. Sberna provides a very detailed timeline of Sowell’s life, crimes, and incarceration, The author was able to conduct an interview with Sowell before his passing in 2021. The storytelling is gripping, and Dave Clark’s narration is outstanding, but listener discretion is advised.
