In “Behold the Monster,” Jillian Lauren examines the life of the most prolific serial killer in the history of the United States, a man who may have responsible for the senseless murders of nearly 100 individuals across multiple states. Samuel Little initially denied his guilt, avoiding long sentences by attacking vulnerable women, and leaving no witnesses or witnesses with questionable reputations. Lauren gained Little’s trust, and she was able to interview Little before his death in 2020.
She answers the obvious question, what was it like to interview a serial killer? In the end, Little started to confess to the murders he committed, which allowed investigators to close many cold cases. In “Behold the Monster,” Little shares his accounts of several murders, and the author brings the victim’s stories to light. Sadly, many of Little’s victims remain nameless. However, this book allows you to probe the mind of the serial killer that passed The Green River killer, Gary Ridgway, as the deadliest offender.
The author outlines Little’s dysfunctional family and his troubled youth, and interviews some of his relatives. “Behold the Monster” tells the full story of the Samuel Little, who told his victims that he loved them.
