It is noted in the book, Mercury started writing in his journal when Austin became pregnant with the couple’s secret daughter.
Through the author, Lesley-Ann Jones, Mercury’s daughter reveals what she learned from her famous father before his death at the age of 45 in November 1991. The book details Mercury’s challenging youth, ultimately being sent away from his parents for a boarding school. Jones outlines the rock icon being sexually abused, developing a love of music, and his Freddie Mercury transformation. The book attempts to clear up many of the misconceptions that the public have about Mercury’s life.
